About Us

Thank you for your interest in Blocks 'O' Walks. My name is Madeleine. Owner of Blocks 'O' Walks. I started this business because I love animals. All of my life I've had a pet. I don't know what it's like to not have one. I've always had a dog and/or cat, bird, rabbit. Growing up we raised German Shepard's and throughout the years I've walked many sized dogs.My brothers and I often brought home strays and we welcomed all into the family.

Neighbors and friends knew of my love for animals. Because of their trust in me, they never hesitated to ask me to watch their pets when they went away. I loved doing this for them as I know what it's like to leave a pet. So I spent quality time with their pets and gave them lots of love and attention. So, I was well prepared to start a pet services business as I've done it all my life. I feel like I could never have enough pets, unfortunately, I don't live on a ranch. That's why I love this job so much. My neighbor's and friends pets were always my extended pets. (I never told them that though!)

In October 2006 I had to put my 17 year old Sheltie named Prancer down. I grieved so badly as I had lost my best friend and companion. In December 2006 I was given a surprise birthday gift. A 9 week old Sheltie named Jasper. He was the best birthday gift anyone could ever have. Jasper replaced the emptiness in my heart. He's the reason I started this business. Jasper is my inspiration.
