A well exercised dog is healthy and happy. No matter the size or breed, all dogs need some form of exercise. Moreover, an active life style is good for a dogs joints, organs, weight, socialization and general well being.

A non-exercised dog is a bored dog. This may create bad behavior. A bored dog is prone to behavioral issues such as; chewing, anxiety disorders, separation anxiety, depression and weight gain.

Dog Walks Versus Doggy Parks

Dogs get cabin fever just like us humans. They need to exercise and release their aggression and energy. That is the importance of a good walk. For example: Think of a dog walk as an organized sports activity for your child. And the dog park as equivalent to the ball cage at Chuckie Cheese. The walk provides the release with boundaries. The dog park provides hyper excitement.

You wouldn't send your child to a baby sitter or child care just to let it run all over and misbehave. We provide structured exercise as a walk. Or, if you prefer, we can run your dog. Once your dog is well exercised, they become calm and submissive. Thus a happy and healthy dog. Once your dog is in this frame of mind, they can go to the doggy park to run, play and socialize with the other dogs.
